We had a lovely Easter. First, we attended the Easter service at the Columbia River Bible Church, where the kids go to Awana and have been practicing songs. They all sang and did the hand motions, and at the end when their director ushered them off the stage with a “let’s let the little guys sit down first,” Josh loudly announced that he “was not a little guy.”

In the afternoon, we went to Cherry and Rick’s house for a “Resurrection Treasure Hunt.” Their grandkids, Judah and Laura, hid treats around the property and then asked the kids (age-appropriate) questions about the resurrection story. The kids had a great time and came home with buckets of treasure that have been keeping them quite busy.

Here’s Cherry explaining the rules:

And here they are answering questions at various treasure spots:

See how everyone is right in the middle of the road? You can do that around here because there’s no traffic.

Cherry’s dog, Pansy, was having a grand time in the grass. We’re all really glad spring is here.

  1. Happy Easter Marsha. Your family looks so lovely. You sure made friends fast in your new town. I am so bad at making friends. I still don’t know anyone and we have been living in this house almost 3 years now. You have a gift.
