Mingo Mountain Jam

I’ve learned to make jam! We still have crates of apples left from our harvest, so I’ve been trying to have fun preserving, and it turns out jam is pretty fun to make. And it’s a great treat with some nice cheese, salami and crackers. Mmm.

Here’s a sampler!

We have, from left to right: Blue Apple Jam with Fennel & Bay, Chunky Apple-Ginger Jam, Marbled Blue Citrus Apple Jam (I made up this recipe), and Orange Marmalade. They’re all quite tasty.

And here’s a pretty picture of the Blue Apple with Fennel and Bay jam in process. Looks like Christmas.

Next, I need to design and build an oven-safe drying rack so I can dry more than twelve apples at a time …

That looks so yummy! I have a favorite fig jam spread I buy from the grocery store to go with crackers or bread and cheese, but it’s $6 for a tiny jar!
